SEISMIC ACTIVATION IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE SOUTHERN SLOPE OF THE GREATER CAUCASUS IN THE LATE XX – EARLY XXI CENTURY

Abstract. A number of strong earthquakes that occurred on the central and eastern segments of the Southern slope of the Greater Caucasus, recorded at the end of the XX and early XXI century, are considered. The complex analysis of seismological manifestations is presented, on the basis of, which the generalization and interpretation of the seismological and geodynamic situation in the region at the beginning of the XXI century is made.
