Abstract. In this paper we discussed the features of applying the structural-parametric approach to constructing analytical approximations of the Earth's relief and the anomalous gravitational field using the modified S-approximation method. The results of a mathematical experiment using real data on the relief and anomalous gravitational field are presented.
